Assistant Section Officer of the Central Secretariat Service (CSS), Assistant Section Officer (MEA), Assistant in the Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, and Assistant (GSI) in the Ministry of Mines.

Notes:

  • Tier I-There will be a negative marking of 0.50 for each wrong answer.
  • Tier-II, there will be a negative marking of 0.25 for each wrong answer in Paper-II (English Language and Comprehension) and 0.50 marks for each wrong answer in Paper-I, Paper-III, and Paper-IV.
  • In Tier-II, Paper-I and Paper-II are compulsory for all the posts.
  • As per the SSC CGL Exam Pattern, in Tier-II, Paper-III will be for only those candidates who apply for the Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) and who are shortlisted in Tier-I for this Post/ Paper.
  • In Tier-II, Paper-IV will be for only those candidates who are shortlisted in Tier-I for Paper-IV, i.e. for the Assistant Audit Officer/ Assistant Accounts Officer posts.
  • The SSC CGL Exam Pattern has a Computer Proficiency Test/ Skill Test (wherever applicable)/ Document Verification that is conducted as per the provisions of the notice of examination.
  • Candidates should check SSC CGL official notification from time to time for more details on the syllabus, and exam pattern changes.

SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria 2023

The main eligibility required for the CGL exam is that a candidate must have a bachelor’s degree from a recognized University and he/she age must be between 18-32 years to fill out the online form.

  • Candidates appearing in the final year of their graduation can also apply for the CGL 2023 exam. However, they must possess Essential qualifications on or before 01 January 2023
  • The only candidates who will satisfy the eligibility criteria are eligible to fill out the SSC CGL Application Form 2023
  • The candidature will get canceled if you do not meet the SSC CGL Qualification 2023.

SSC CGL Education Qualification 2023

Candidates must have a graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized by Central Government on or before 01 January 2023

Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer (AAO) Essential Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree from a Recognized University or Institute.

 

Desirable qualification: Chartered Accountant Cost & Management Accountant Company Secretary or Masters in Commerce or Masters in Business Studies or Masters in Business Administration (Finance) or Masters in Business Economics.

Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University or Institute with at least 60% Marks in Mathematics at 12th standard level  OR Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects at degree level.
Statistical Investigator Grade II Graduation in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects. Candidates must have studied Statistics as a subject in all three years of the graduation course.

SSC CGL Age Limit 2023

The minimum age to apply for the SSC CGL exam is 18 years.

Age-Relaxation

Every category has different years of age relaxation.

Permissible relaxation in upper age limit for Group-C posts only
